SINGAPORE ELF
This 1966 MkII Elf featured a couple of years ago and has reappeared with a new owner and paint scheme.
Looi Boon Hwee bought it from the previous owner, Ming, a year ago and it underwent 6 months of restoration.
There was lots of rust and Looi had to replace the floorboards and the doors back to sliding windows.  He's dropped in seats from a scrapped Clubman (very comfortable Suzuki Swifts), 12" steel rims with chrome hubcaps from Japan and white walls, disc brakes (from the Clubman again), new magnolia dials. All the brightwork was re-chromed and missing parts ordered from Somerford Mini, Mini Spares and DNS in the UK. He's also got the entire car rewired with new looms. In the interior shot, you only see one third of the wooden dash, that's because he's having problems fitting the other 2 pieces back in! It's now finished in OE White and red interior. Next Big Buy is an aircon, highly essential in tropical Singapore, which I might get from one of our club members (in the past few months many minis were scrapped in Singapore but lots of parts were salvaged).

SPECIAL - SOUTH AFRICA
From South Africa - a slightly different version of the factory Riley Elf - note the true Elf extended boot but features a Mini-style front end.

TRAVELLING ELF!
FROM UK to INDIA to AUSTRALIA
Roger and Stephanie live in Meadows, Adelaide
(South Australia), in the Southern Adelaide Hills.
Purchased about 12 years ago, his Elf was imported from the UK and may have spent some time in India, he is not sure and is trying to find out. Roger is a mechanic and has worked on Minis on and off since 1964, and has recently rebuilt and modified this Elf with Cooper "S" running gear, 1310 motor and lots of other stuff, the rebuild and mods cost $10,000 Aus +. but its worth every cent.
This Elf is featured in the May 1999
edition of Mini Magic Magazine.

This Elf is so good I've dedicated a whole page to it and also feature Roger and Stephanie's latest project, a Mini Van.
